It says something in the owner's manual about descaling. I haven't done that. What does that do? I have used vinegar before. Does that help? My coffee starts to taste bad after a while of using. I use it pretty frequently (usually every day), but I haven't for the past month because I've been broke and have been drinking instant coffee instead!

My seester needs a new coffee maker, and I'm trying to help her find a good one. She wants it to make great tasting coffee. It should make 10-12 cups, she does like the single cup feature (but that's not necessary). Another feature she likes is the ability to slow down the drip in order to save on coffee (like the old Krups ones did). Finally, she wants one with an insulated carafe. Thanks in advance for your input!!
I had a customer (he owned a coffee shop) a few years back that insisted to get great tasting coffee, the coffee had to be brewed at 212 degrees or something like that. He said that most coffee makers don't get hot enough to bring out the best flavor. He mentioned that there was one brand that knew this and advertised it on the packaging box. Has anyone else heard about this?

i dreamed of a coffee maker being left on with no coffee in it. then it started burning then a fire started. then i saw a tv then i saw a tall lady with pink shoes.
i dreamed my cousin was at my house outside talking to my enemy(my family neighbor) then she said she was going out to eat and i wasn't invited and then i saw cheese in my hand. i was really upset so i followed her she left in a white transit and there was a white bus behind. when i traveled i thought i was in my truck, but i was on a white carriage with a brown horse and in the sky i saw a lot of different color doves and then a huge beautiful painting of a Dove.And a man with pink hair.( it wasn't hot pink)
then i entered the restaurant where i was not invited to, all my enemies were eating together.
