He's just started to become a huge coffee drinker, but we don't have a coffee maker at home so he does it at work. For Christmas he wants a coffee maker with a timer, but I don't really know what kind is the best or how to begin to shop for on...I personally hate the stuff. He'll obviously need coffee to go with it and since he only drink it at work as of now, all I know is the flavors he likes, but not the brands (he couldn't tell me what they were). He's in the Army and spends long, colds nights in the field on occasion so a good thermos would be great too.

So, what's a good coffee maker? Some great kinds of coffee (he loves anything vanilla)? And how big of a thermos should I get him?
