- Next, sterilize the container. Pour the coffee grounds and filtered water into the jar/container in a 1:8 coffee-to-water ratio. Give it a gentle stir and let the mixture steep for at least 12 hours.
- When the steeping is complete, strain the coffee using a strainer to remove the grounds. Discard the strainer and repeat this process (using a new strainer) 2-3 times until all the grounds are removed.
